Minutes of the Summer Meeting
July 16, 2000

Denny (N3EJY) asked permission to record the proceedings of
the meeting for
the purpose of transcription of the minutes. The recording of the
proceedings will then be destroyed after the minutes are transcribed.
Permission was granted by consensus of the voting members present.
N3EJY called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.
N3EJY read the minutes of the January meeting. On motion by W3CYO/N3MBR the
minutes were approved.
N3QCR reported that the balance in the checking account is
$1403.54 and that
there are 75 regular members and 10 associate members. Plus 2 regular
memberships and 2 associate memberships collected at todays meeting.
W3CYO/WA3IOU moved to accept the treasurers report. The motion carried.
KR3P was not present due to illness so there was no report
from the frequency
N3EJY updated WA3IOU on the status of the interference complaint
on the N3LGY
repeater. The situation has tentatively been resolved. Paperwork is
expected to come to WPRC and will be copied directly to the Trustee from WPRC.
Those gathered discussed splits on 6 meter repeaters.
WA3ERT requested clarification on length of time for coordination.
explained and gave him a copy of the coordination policies. It was noted
that these policies will be sent out in the next newsletter. It was also
noted that these policies are available on the WPRC Web Page.
The availability of propagation reports was discussed and it
was noted that
the problem is in printing out the reports because of the detail.
WA3PBD asked about the availability of 10 meter frequencies
in our area.
N3EJY indicated that of the frequencies available most are coordinated or in
the process of coordination.
The next meeting will be the Annual Meeting on October 15,
2000 and will be
held in Venango County, location to be announced.
W3CYO/WA3PBD moved to adjourn at 2:38 pm.
