N3EJY called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m.
WA3IOU announced that Riley Hollingsworth will be at a special
meeting on April 14 at the
Blue Flame Restaurant at 10:00 a.m.
On motion by N3BPB/N3MBR the minutes of the Annual Meeting (October 15, 2000) were approved.
N3QCR reported that the balance in the checking account is
$1,411.54 and that membership for
2000 was 79 regular members and 11 associate members and as of
January 3, 2001 16 regular
members and 1 associate member. WA3IOU/W3CYO moved to accept the
treasurer's report. The
motion carried.
CORRESPONDENCE
N3QCR reported most of the correspondence since the last meeting has been membership renewals.
COORDINATOR REPORT
N3EJY reported that propagation studies will be made available on CD.
OLD BUSINESS
SNPR N3EJY clarified questions and requested that the committee
have rules and regulations
ready for the April meeting. N3BPB suggested that a frequency
be found in the 2 meter
band, perhaps 147.000 with and (-) offset.
WA3IOU asked for information on the interference complaint
he had submitted. He stated that he
had received no notification of his request to have the stipulation
lifted from his original
coordination. N3EJY stated WPRC had been notified that the repeater
in Ohio causing the
interference had been moved back to its original location. He
also stated that he would see
that WA3IOU would receive official notification this evening via
e-mail.
N3MBR speaking on behalf of KE3PD indicated that the repeater
on the frequency 224.060 in Corry
had submitted an OTA notice in December based on information received
from KR3P at the October
meeeting. KE3PD has not received initial coordination in writing
from the frequency coordinator
and would like have the proper paperwork for his files. N3EJY
will check on the paper work and
see that it is completed.
NEW BUSINESS
KC3ET requested that WPRC present a forum at the 2 Rivers Hamfest.
Times available are 9:00 a.m.
or 10:00 a.m. N3EJY will check with N3GPM and get back to Chuck.
N3BPB suggested that the newsletter be sent to former dues
paying repeater trustees in an
attempt to regain lost members.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of WPRC will be held on April 22, 2001 in
Brooville. This is a change from the
normal 3rd Sunday of the month because Easter falls on our regular
meeting date.
There being no further business the meeting was adjorned at 2:25 p.m. on motion by N3BPB/W3CYO.
Respectfully submitted
Mary A. Housholder
Secreatary/Treasurer
