Subject: Western Pennsyvania Repeater Council Meetings Notes-January 18, 2010

The January 18th, 2010 meeting was held at the Washington County Building, Emergency Operations
room "C3", Beau Street, Washington PA.

The meeting was called to order at 1330 by Chairman David Crise, N3GPM.

There were sixteen (16) members present: AB3PJ, KE3EI, N3GPM, N3TNA, N3EJY, WA3YOA, N3CVL,
N3WMV, N3XAR, N3BPB, N3QWW, N3OVP, W3CYO, KR3P, N3FB, K3KEM

Minutes of previous meeting:
The minutes of the previous meeting wase read by Sec. Barry Troutman, N3TNA.
Motion to approve the minutes as corrected was made by Paul, AB3PJ and seconded by Paul, N3WV..

Treasurer Report:
The Treasurers report was given by Denny, N3EJY:
Ending balance as of October was $1305.14
Income from dues: $60.00
Disbursements: $300.00
12 month money market CD: $1032.75
Balance: $1065.14
Motion to approve the Treasurers Report was made by Sam, W3CYO and seconded by Paul, N3WMV..

Frequency Coordinator Report:
Gave report on work done.
FAQ is now on the website.
Info sent in to ARRL for Repeater Directory.

Old Business:
Joe KR3P Gave explanation of Log #2471 and why denial was given.
Joe KR3P advised there was a policy issue for N3DDY and N3WMD. A motion was made for Joe to send letter
to KA3LJS. Motion made by Denny, N3EJY and Second by Sam, W3CYO.

New Business:
It was found that our software was adding both antenna and ground height a slight problem and Joe, KR3P to contact
the software company. Software spacing used first then a waiver can be obtained. If the Frequency Coordinator
receives a short spacing request and runs a study it will be sent back as denied indicating another repeater is involved
and there is a need for a waiver. Also a change in policy #7B and 7C. Motion made by Denny, N3EJY and second
by Dave, N3GPM.

There will be a new listing in the ARRL Repeater Directory for D-Star.
Add Trustee Field to the Repeater Directory in our website. Motion made by Denny, N3EJY and second by Dave, N3GPM.

Forced transfer from N2EVA to N3TNA. Motion by Bill, N3BPB and second by Denny, N3EJY.
Forced transfer from N2EVA to N3HZV. Motion made by Denny, N3EJY and second by Bill, N3BPB..

A motion was made to use the real PL tones rather than the regional on the website. Motion made by
Bill, N3BPB and second by Paul, AB3PJ.

A D-Star presentation was given by Bob, N3CVL.

Next Meeting:
The April meeting will be at the Mercer 911 Center.

Motion to adjourn was made at 1550 by Sam, W3CYO and second by Paul, N3WMV.
